My
wife and I are amongst the millions aficionado of Manny Pacquiao in the
international arena of sports boxing.
Although our extra-curricular inclinations are mostly in the relaxing
and not so stressful activities (i.e., fishing, gardening, reading, cooking,
aqua culture and private tutoring) we always find a way to view Manny in his
high intensity boxing matches. If we
missed the scheduled match, we update ourselves through the newspaper.
We
look at Manny as a man who was exposed very well to hard work, patience and
perseverance. His personal life story is
the gleaming proof. His aspiration and
wittiness brought him to where he is now: World Champion in various Boxing
Divisions, Congressman of Saranggani, playing coach of KIA basketball team, a
Philanthropist, a dutiful Son, Brother, Husband and Father. Manny’s personality is indeed an admirable
one.
Having
mentioned all the aforementioned, one prominent trait where Manny do extremely
well is his humility. When Manny lost
the boxing match with Marquez, he accepted the loss calmly, competently and
congratulates his opponent with respect.
Now
that Manny’s boxing match with Floyd Mayweather is forthcoming, boxing aficionados
are very much excited. Same thing goes
with my wife and me. Yet, when we saw
Manny being interviewed in the television, he was so relaxed and expressed
himself with humility. Moreover, Manny
never forgets to appreciate God’s blessings. (Psalm 107:1 "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.")
Gratitude is an honourable attitude and this will make Manny always a
Winner in his many fights...ang Pambansang Kamao!
